In order to preform maintenance or emergency service work, our linemen require access to the transformer pole. If you have a lock on your gate, please allow the REA to put a lock on as well.
Our linemen climb utility poles at all hours of the day, often in harsh weather conditions. Having safe and unobstructed access to a transformer pole is necessary for maintenance and emergency service work.
Sharp objects like nails, tacks or staples for attaching signs, birdhouses or satellite dishes also pose a danger to our linemen. If a sharp object punctures a lineman’s glove or damages other safety equipment, our lineman’s lives are put in danger. The safety of the Member is also put at risk when placing these items on poles.
