Billing

Bills are generated by the 5th of each month and are billed based on the previous full month. Bills are always due by the 20th of each month.

Understanding Charges on Your Bill

There are two pages to your bill. The front, or first page, provides information that relates to the account, a summary of charges, and a bill message. The back, or second page, provides for a breakdown of information of those charges.

Energy: The cost of electric energy you have used in a billing period.

​

Transmission (System Access) a Provincial Charge: The cost of building, operating and maintaining the provincial power grid.

​

Distribution: The cost of building, operating and maintaining the local distribution system.

​

Wild Rose Cooperative Energy Rate: The rate per kWh of consumed energy. 
 

Rate Rider - Balancing Pool Allocation Rider) a Provincial Charge: A rider is a temporary credit or charge approved by the regulator (AUC).

Rate Rider) Provincial Charge: - Transmission Adjustment Rider: A rider is a temporary credit or charge approved by the regulator (AUC).

​

Goods and Services Tax (GST): The 5% calculation is based on the total costs identified in your bill.
